NEW! Collaboration Grant
A new grant is available to provide financial support to individuals, groups, foundations, institutions, and ONS Chapters interested in developing and implementing a collaborative oncology nursing education or leadership initiative in their geographic area/region. Two grants up to $10,000 each are available. Due date for the application is April 15, 2010.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is available to present to your chapter during a Chapter meeting in 2010. If you are interested in having an ACS representative attend your meeting to present ACS patient programs and services, please contact Stephanie VanWinkle, Director, ACS Strategy and Collaborations at 404.929.6808 or Stephanie.vanwinkle@cancer.org.

NIWI Call for Applications
The Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) Program is an annual event sponsored by the Nursing Organizations Alliance (The Alliance). With over 60 member organizations, ONS among them, The Alliance represents approximately 500,000 nurses. The Alliance sponsors the internship to promote the interests of its member groups through education, research, and health-policy activities. Over the years, more than one thousand nurses have attended NIWI, many of whom have become influential participants in the political process at state and federal levels.
