Nursing Management of Vertebral Compression Fractures
This regional program, worth 1.0 CNE, provides information about the assessment, treatment and management of the patient with vertebral compression fracture due to metastatic bone disease related to breast cancer and multiple myeloma. An overview of vertebral compression fracture due to metastatic breast cancer and multiple myeloma will be discussed, including pain management, and treatment options to improve overall quality of life. Best practices, differences between vertebroplasty and balloon kyphoplasty, and developing a plan of care that increases patient compliance will be presented.
Targeted Therapy for Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma: New Options, New Decisions
This interactive program provides an evidence-based discussion of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), including treatment and symptom management strategies. Expert faculty will provide an illustrated explanation of cellular changes, a clinical review of promising new treatments, and a comprehensive discussion of side effects and their management. Participants will use patient case studies to apply proven strategies to successfully manage the side effects of targeted therapies for RCC. This regional program is worth 1.0 CNE upon successful completion.
